A field guide to Ask Gina

What's Gina? And what does it mean to have a Gina Wallet?

Gina started in mid 2024 as one of the first AI agents who lived on the Farcaster feed and who could answer your questions if you tagged her. She had hundreds of conversations with multiple users in feed.

People kept asking us if Gina could help with onchain transactions - which is why we built the Gina wallet - a private AI-enabled smart wallet that helps you discover, analyze, and execute transactions onchain with ease.

When you sign up for Ask Gina, the system automatically generates both a Solana wallet and an EVM-compatible wallet (the "Gina wallet") for you. Currently, you cannot connect your own external wallet to the application.

What can this wallet enable me to do?

You can chat with Gina about almost anything, however she is tailored towards helping with onchain transactions. Currently she can help you to:

Keep on top of what's happening

  • Search the web for what's happening in a particular sector/ecosystem
  • Scan the overall cryptoasset market for tokens that are trending across social feeds

Analyze Market Data

  • Get + analyze current and historical price data for any token (across all major chains)
  • Generate on the fly charts to show how any onchain token is doing

Get Top Yields

  • Get top yielding pools across chains and protocols
  • Get TVL + APY growth for all major pools across chains and protocols
  • Compare single asset and multi-asset pools for yields

Transact Onchain

  • Transfer ERC20 and SPL tokens
  • Swap ERC20 and SPL tokens (buy and sell)
  • Bridge ERC20 and SPL tokens
  • And do multiple onchain actions at once with one command (Eg "Get me exposure to the top 3 coins on base this week"). Currently live across all major EVM chains and Solana.

Supported Chains

Gina currently supports operations on multiple blockchains including:

ChainMarket DataTransaction Execution
Ethereum (Mainnet)YesYes
BaseYesYes
OptimismYesYes
ScrollYesYes
Binance Smart ChainYesYes
SolanaYesYes
PolygonYesNo
ArbitrumYesNo
AvalancheYesNo
ZoraYesNo
LineaYesNo
zkSync EraYesNo

Note: Market data can be queried across all chains, while transaction execution is limited to chains marked with "Yes" for that feature.

Users can also export their self custodial Gina wallet private key (provided by Privy) to transact manually.

Execution with Gina will be enabled on each currently non-supported EVM chain as EIP-7702 is rolled out per chain.

Supported Gas Tokens for Transaction Fees

To minimize fees, Gina automatically selects the most cost-effective token to pay for your transactions. She checks up to 5 of your highest-balance tokens that are supported for gas payments and chooses the cheapest option overall.

For batched cross-chain transactions, the total fee is paid just once using this single, most cost-effective token, even though the operations might span multiple chains.

Here is a list of the currently supported gas fee tokens per chain:

ChainSupported Gas Tokens
Ethereum (Mainnet)ETH, USDC, USDT, WETH
BaseETH, WETH, USDC
OptimismETH, WETH, USDC, USDC.e, USDT

Notes and Limitations

  • Web search results include source citations for verification
  • Portfolio data is fetched in real-time but may have slight delays depending on blockchain confirmation times.
  • Token price data and corresponding analysis is sourced from reputable aggregators but should not be considered financial advice
  • Scheduled prompts and transactions are not currently supported. All transactions are executed immediately when confirmed. This functionality will be in an upcoming release.
